about me
I know how important it is to find a therapist you feel safe and comfortable with, someone who can help you navigate life’s challenges with compassion and skill. My
approach is rooted in empathy and collaboration, and I’m passionate about creating a safe space for my clients to share their stories and find healing.
my approach
I have found immense joy in working with individuals and families in a variety of settings. Before joining Relate Therapy Houston, I worked as an Eating Disorder Recovery Coach, leading group therapy sessions and providing one-on-one support. I have also served as a volunteer crisis counselor, helping
people in their most vulnerable moments. These experiences have shaped my belief that everyone deserves to be heard and supported without judgement.
Every client is unique. Therefore, I strive to maintain flexibility in my approach to therapy and am dedicated to practicing cultural humility in all aspects of my work. I operate with trauma-informed care and utilize mindfulness-based practices to help facilitate healing. With my training in Marriage and Family Therapy, I understand how tricky family dynamics can be and am especially interested in working with clients on their journey to finding more harmony in their relationships.
I take to heart the importance of practicing what I preach by prioritizing self-care so that I can be fully present in the therapy room. Some of my favorite ways to care for my own wellbeing include taking my fur babies, Peach and Bear, on walks, baking homemade goodies, and coloring while putting on a funny show.
My purpose is to help you feel seen and understood, while supporting you in building on your own strength and resilience. Healing is possible, and we're focusing on progress—not perfection. Because let’s be real, no one’s perfect (not even therapists!). Growth can be uncomfortable sometimes, but it is the results in the end that make it worth it, and I am here to empower you every step of the way.
